Bryant Staffing has an opening for a full-time, temp-to-hire Mechanic in the Paterson, New Jersey area.

Main Duties:

Repairs and maintains washers, driers, extractors, condensers, pumps, blowers, presses, and other laundry equipment.

Operates, examines, and dismantles equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.

Repairs or replaces parts, using hand-tools and measuring instruments.  Replaces components, such as bearings, motors, and micro-switches

Replaces faulty sections of pipe, valves, and fittings, using plumbing tools.  Dismantles steam traps and removes sediment.

Removes faceplate from equipment to clean out dust and lint.  Replaces worn or torn aprons, roll covers, and pads on mangles.

Lubricates mahcines and equipment, using grease gun and oilcans. May order spare parts.

Minimum Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:

High School Degree or GED

Minimum 2-4 years of mechanic experience in a production/operations setting

Ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-moving environment

Ability to manage work in an organized and efficient manner, using effective prioritization skills.

Self motivated an driven to achieve

Detailed orientated, excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and problem solving skills, effective verbal and listening skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy, very effective organizational skills, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, team building skills

Deadline-oriented, time management, attention to detail, PC proficiency, productivity, verbal communication, general math skills

Non-negotiable Hiring Critera:

Willingness to work weekend and/or evening hours.

11:00pm – 8:30am and 9:00am – 7:30pm with rototating weekends
