Our client, an established leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of production capital equipment used for processing materials in industries like pharmaceutical, chemical, food, mining and others, has an opening in their Union area location for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
The person selected for this position will be responsible for the design and improvement of prototype and production capital equipment as well as tooling and components. Working with Electrical and Process Optimization teams, the Mechanical Engineer also contributes to documents creation and methods of work.
The candidate we are looking for will have a BSME or related degree and 5 years experience in industrial machinery and systems design. You should bring experience in determining design requirements, preparing specifications and drawings, and coordinating with internal and external sources for component selection, manufacturing, assembly and installation. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of SolidWorks is helpful.
We’re looking for an Engineer who is independent, resourceful and creative. Many projects involve the re-design or customization of existing designs in a way that meets a particular clients needs. Manufacturing is on-site allowing intimate interaction with the entire process and the players involved in a highly collaborative culture. Some travel to client sites will be required for the purpose of start-up assistance, training, integration, etc.
